Will 2Do show iCal events and tasks together in the same list?
No. You cannot mix tasks with calendar events in the same list. Events and tasks are fundamentally different types.
2Do does show your calendar alongside your tasks, in a space of its own rather than mixed in:
- Calendar Day Bar (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) is a day strip pinned above the task list, so the day's appointments sit right above its tasks. On iPhone and iPad, turn it on under Settings > Calendar Events > Display: Show Calendar Events in Today puts it above Today only, and Show Calendar Events in Lists puts it above your regular lists as well. - Calendar Day Bar on Android shows events above your tasks too. Open Settings > Calendar Events and turn on Show Calendar Events in Today or Show Calendar Events in Lists, then allow calendar access. This requires 2Do Pro or an active trial. See Calendar Events on Android.
- Calendar Events panel (iPhone and iPad) is the third page of the utility panel, beside Tags and Nearby. Swipe the task list toward the trailing edge to reach the panel, then pick Calendar Events. On a wide iPad the panel can stay open beside your tasks.
Tapping an event opens its details. On Android, Open in Calendar and Edit open the event in your calendar app. On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, you can read or edit the details without leaving 2Do.
On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, you can give a task its own time on your calendar by dropping it on the day bar. You can also choose Add to Calendar from a task's menu on iPhone and iPad, or Task > Add to Calendar... on the Mac. 2Do adds a new event and leaves the task in its list. On Android, touch and hold a task row and choose Add to Calendar to create an event in your calendar app. You can also enter batch editing, select one task, then touch and hold that selected row and drag it onto the Calendar Day Bar.
