Which Browsers and Features Does 2Do for Web Support?
2Do for Web runs in your browser, so you can use it on Windows, Linux, ChromeOS, or macOS without installing a desktop app. You can also open it in a browser on a phone or tablet. A larger screen gives your lists, tasks, and editor more room.
Use an up-to-date browser such as Safari, Chrome, Edge, or Firefox, with JavaScript, cookies, and site storage enabled. Browser settings, extensions, and managed-device policies can affect Apple sign-in and local storage. If your browser blocks the sign-in window, allow it for 2Do.
What If I Only Use Android?
You can create a free Apple Account in your Android browser, choose iCloud sync in 2Do for Android, and sign in with the same account in 2Do for Web. A Mac is not needed to validate your Web license. Follow Create a Free iCloud Account for the steps and app purchase requirements.
Is It the Same as the Mac App?
The workspace and core task tools follow 2Do for Mac: lists, projects, checklists, sections, tags, dates, notes, search, and Smart Lists. The Mac guides explain these shared concepts.
Some features depend on the platform:
- Sync: Web supports iCloud CloudKit only. Other sync providers in the Mac guides do not apply.
- Reminders: Keep the web app running. It cannot deliver reminders after the app is closed, and browser or system suspension can delay them.
- Shortcuts: Use the shortcuts shown in the web app's menus or More > Commands…. Some combinations belong to the browser or operating system.
- System features: Mac widgets, AppleScript, system-wide Quick Entry, Apple Calendar access, and other macOS integrations are native-app features.
Can I Use It Offline?
The browser keeps a local working copy, but you need an internet connection to sign in, validate the license, and sync. Do not rely on opening or continuing to use the app offline. Wait for sync to finish before clearing site data or moving to another device.
Can I Use a Shared Computer?
Prefer your own browser profile. Leave Keep me signed in off on a shared computer, and use More > Manage Account > Sign out when finished.
Signing out ends access; it does not promise to erase the browser's local task data. After confirming that all changes have synced, use the browser's settings to clear 2Do's site data if you need to remove that local copy. Do not clear it while unsynced changes remain.
