Focus Filter

Use the Focus Filter to narrow a list to tasks that meet conditions you choose, such as high priority or due today. Each list keeps its own choices, and you can turn the filter on or off with one tap.

Toggling Focus​

Tap the Focus button in the sort bar above your tasks. It highlights while Focus is on, and the bar can show how many tasks the filter hides. Tap it again to remove the Focus filter.

The other visibility controls still apply. Turning Focus off does not reveal paused or future tasks that those controls hide.

Choosing Focus Conditions​

Touch and hold the Focus button. Select the conditions you want, then tap Done:

  • Overdue
  • No Due Date
  • In Progress
  • Today
  • Tomorrow
  • This Week
  • Next 3 Days
  • Next 7 Days
  • Next 30 Days
  • Next 6 Months
  • Next 12 Months
  • High Priority
  • Starred

A task appears if it matches any selected condition. For example, select Today and High Priority to keep both today's work and high-priority tasks visible. Saving the conditions turns Focus on for the current view.

Date conditions consider task dates and duration. In Progress includes unfinished tasks whose start date or duration window has begun. No Due Date finds tasks without a due date.

Per-List Focus Conditions​

Each list remembers its conditions and whether Focus is on. You might focus Work plan on overdue or high-priority tasks and Home on the next few days.

Inside a project or checklist, Focus uses the containing list's conditions. The on/off choice for project views is shared between those views.

Quick Tag Filters​

Tap a tag in the Tags panel to filter by that tag. Selecting several tags finds tasks with any of them. This changes the current search without changing your saved Focus conditions.

Saving More Detailed Filters​

Use Search when you need a particular tag, location, text, or custom date range. Save that search as a Smart List to keep it in the lists panel.

For example, type: hiprio AND today requires both high priority and a due date of today. Selecting Today and High Priority in Focus accepts either condition.
