2Do

I have forgotten my password and I cannot access 2Do anymore

If you had set a password on the app and have now forgotten what it was there is still a way to get in. Follow these steps to recover your data for a new installation:

  1. Connect your iPhone/iPad to iTunes
  2. Click on your device name under the Devices panel on the left when it appears on iTunes
  3. Click on Apps
  4. Notice a File Sharing section at the bottom of the screen with 2Do listed in the list
  5. Click on 2Do and select the file 2do.db
  6. Click ’Save To’ to create a backup of your current database
  7. Now delete the app from your iPhone and re-install from iTunes

Now that you have a backup from 2Do. You’ll have to uninstall it and re-install from the App Store. Then restore the backup by emailing it to yourself and opening it from the Mail app on your iPhone / iPad (by tap holding on the attachment and selecting Open with 2Do’). This will immediate recover all your backed up data. However, before you restore the backup, you must create a new password in the newly installed app. Here’s what you need to do:

  • 1. Re-install the app
  • 2. Goto Settings > Privacy and setup and assign a new password to the app
  • 3. Now restore the backup you emailed yourself
