not receiving email alerts

I am not able to receive the email alerts. The email address I am using is my sms phone number. When I was setting this up, I did receive the sms/email from 2Do asking for verification. However, because sms is limited to 160, the rest of the activation sms/email was cut off. I contacted the 2Do tech support and they said they manually verified the sms/email address and so it should be working.

I have had a couple of email exchanges with them (they do respond promptly), but in the last email they said they are busy with a project and it might be a bit longer until they can get back to me. Thus, I am trying the forum while waiting for tech support.

In settings/alert/email info setup I do have the proper email/sms address entered.

When I add a new task I go to +/more options/add alarms/email/enter proper info/done. Using that process, is there something I am missing? Thanks much in advance for help.

I posted the process I am using within 2Do to get the email alerts in case I am doing it wrong. That would be something with which forum members could help. I realize forum members could not likely help with technical issues, but I was checking to see if the procedure on my part was correct.

GW support did get back to me and suggested the problem was that my phone service was blocking the reminders as spam and that was indeed the case. I really like the support offered for this product.

Now, a different question. If I add a task on my iphone, I do get the email/sms reminder. If I add it on my ipad, I do not. Is someone aware of an issue that causes this? I purchased both the iphone and ipad apps, but it only works from my iphone...not ipad. I have the same email/sms address entered on the ipad as I do the iphone.

My apologies as I was not clear. If I enter the task on my ipad, I am not receiving the email/sms alert on my iphone. That is what I meant to write. I have the proper email/sms address entered on the ipad and it should -- if I understand things properly -- send the reminder via email/sms. When I set an alarm (other than the email one), the alert goes off on both the ipad and iphone.

Again, apologies for not being clear and thank you for the prompt reply.

All is well. As much as I am impressed by the 2Do app, I am more impressed with the customer service directly from the company and indirectly from the company via the forum.
