Several alarms not activating and other alarm problems

More often than not, my alarms do not activate. That includes all of the alarm types, i.e. "message", "sound", and "email". Sometimes alarms will activate, other times nothing happens. I have not been able to find a pattern. The app version I'm using is 2.6 (Build 4192). How can I fix this?

Another odd thing happens when I schedule different alarms for an event. For example, one will be a "message" alarm and the other will be a "sound" alarm. I make one alarm each, but after I click "create" two alarms are made for each single alarm that I made. I then have to delete the two extra alarms. Why is this happening?
