Alerts not working on iphone or ipad

I cant get any of the alerts to work on either my ipad or iphone. I can see similar comments that are older on other threads, but none with a solution. A todo list without reminders isnt really a todo list. I cant even get the email confirmations sent from either my iphone or ipad. (yes, I've checked spam boxes). Local alerts wont work either.

I've download the latest versions for both devices and paid the extra for mobile.me sync. Still nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can not get the email alerts to work. I have confirmed that my name and email address are entered into the Email Info Setup correctly. I have tried several times setting reminders to have them sent to my email address but can not get it to work. This is a major problem. Has anyone found away to get this to work? or does anyone know a 1-800 numbr were can speak to someone directly?
